Google Search Console Introduces ‘Recommendations’: A New Feature for Better Optimization
Posted By Gaurav | 07-Aug-2024 | Search Engine OptimizationOn August 5, 2024, Google Search Central announced that Google is adding ‘recommendations’ to the Search Console. This feature will help website owners and SEO professionals better optimize their websites by suggesting actions that they can take to improve their site’s performance on search engines.
What Does the ‘Recommendations’ feature show?
With this new feature, Google aims to make data more directly accessible to users. It shows recommendations based on indexing, crawling, serving, etc. Although this information is already there in the Search Console, users will be able to see direct actions that they need to take to improve their site’s performance. This will help users better optimize their website by performing specific actions like adding sitemaps, using structured data, and more.
Is the ‘Recommendations’ Feature Available to All?
GSC is currently rolling out this feature for some users as it is still in its experimental phase. Not all website owners can see ‘recommendations’ on their search console as of now. The feature is available on the ‘Overview’ page of Google Search Console. Google stated that the feature will be slowly rolled out over the coming months. Even after the complete rollout, the recommendations will be shown only when Google has something to recommend. If there are no recommendations, the section will show nothing.
The recommendations feature, once it is completely rolled out, may be very helpful for site owners and SEO professionals. While some of its suggestions may be obvious, others can be highly useful and add value to your SEO efforts.
Stay Tuned as we will keep you informed of any new updates on this rollout.
