Google has launched yet another feature to make search console data and reporting more convenient for SEO professionals. This feature is called ‘Query Groups’ and has been added to the Search Console Insights report. It groups similar search queries together, giving you insights into key topics that your audience searches for.

One of the common problems faced by website owners and SEO agencies while analyzing search performance data was that there used to be multiple variations of the same search query. The new ‘query groups’ feature eliminates this issue by grouping all these similar queries and showing their data in one place. Instead of long lists of the same queries, you will now see an enhanced version of search queries data on Google Search Console.

How ‘Query Groups’ Help With Analyzing Search Performance Data?

Google Search Central recently announced the launch of ‘query groups’ – a new feature that groups all similar search queries in the Search Console Insights report. They wrote, “We are excited to announce Query groups, a powerful Search Console Insights feature that groups similar search queries.” Here’s how this feature is going to help SEO professionals and website owners with search performance data analysis:

Here’s what the query groups look like:

In the above image, you can see how all the similar keywords are grouped under the same category named by the main keyword or query. This is how you get an enhanced and more convenient view of search performance data with the new query groups.

What Our SEO Experts Have to Say?

The SEO experts at MadHawks – a leading SEO agency – advise search engine professionals and website owners to keep a close eye on the query groups feature. It might not be available to all as of now, as the feature is still rolling out. Also, if your site has less number of search queries, you might not see query groups in your search console report, but as the number of queries increases, it will be available to you. SEO professionals have been grouping such queries manually, but there is no need to do that now, as Google Search Console gives you a grouped view of similar queries. You can analyze user queries more conveniently and target relevant keywords more efficiently with this.
